Design process

Whether we’re designing a brand identity, brochure, website or exhibition display, our proven design process ensures your project achieves the desired outcome.

1. Your FREE assessment
First off we assess your needs. This forms the initial consultation where we provide you with our expert recommendations and fixed fee project pricing.

2. Creative brief – defining the design problem to be solved
We work hard to get to know your business and gain insight into your business issues, so that we can create a full picture of your market place, competition, and project aims.

We help you to write a creative brief. A brief is a written document that outlines the objectives and desired outcomes of the design project. This means we work with you to define the design problem to be solved, before we begin working towards a solution.

3. Research – getting to know your business
Once we’ve satisfactorily researched your business and its project aims, we can start to develop the ideas that are possible solutions to the issues outlined in the brief.

4. Initial design concepts
We start to develop the ideas and different directions that the creative may take. We pick out some of the best design concepts for presentation to you. You review the options, select a preference, and provide written feedback.

5. Design development
We then develop the designs further, in line with your feedback and present them to you again for further comment.

6. Design finalisation
This involves progressing to final artwork, finalising and proofreading content – text and imagery, and in the case of website projects, testing. We use our extensive experience to project manage literature to print, and websites throughout the build. We make sure every project is delivered with top quality execution.

Communication
Communication needs to be maintained throughout the design process. We facilitate the process by predetermining review stages so that your project doesn’t progress in the wrong direction.

Timescales
We never make promises we can’t keep. We will advise you right at the start of the project what the timescales for each phase will be, and when to expect delivery of the final product. We continue to update you all the way throughout your project on timescales, making sure we meet your deadlines.
